However, you have to know that it is possible to get rid of all these nasty habits you have. And there are such factors like willpower, commitment and perseverance that will help you to deal with your bad habits.</p>
<p>So but before you decide to do all of these you have to make sure that changing your bad habits is exactly what you wan to do and you have this great desire that will motivate you to go till the end. And also you have to ask yourself a question if this is the right time for you to start changing your habits and if you really have this confidence and strength in yourself to go till the end and do not give up on the half way.</p>
<p>And if you have made up your mind you have to stay committed to it and do not yourself to be pressed by anyone. A very good motivation to start changing your bad habits is to realize that you are doing it for yourself but not for someone else. After all quitting some bad habit can be very beneficial for you and especially when it has some connection to your health like for example quitting smoking.</p>
<p>Also a good thing to do is to start a journal where you are going to put down all your achievements and it will also help you to develop some new ways of preventing your bad habit to come back. And be sure to write down in this journal all your thoughts and feelings that has arose while you are going this way of changing your habits. It will help you to realize of how it has actually changed your life in a better way.</p>
<p>Also what you should do is to build some positive attitude and behavior to this situation. It will be for you some sort of reminder that you made a commitment to go till the end until you forget about this bad habit you used to have. And it is also a very good thing to do as it will help you to replace some bad thoughts and bad attitude with a good attitude to your life. </p>

<p>It is very important that we realize the relationship between our thoughts and the way we feel. Did you know that we are constantly thinking? Take breathing for example. Unless we feel that we are running out of breath, we simply forget that we breathe automatically.</p>
<p>Thinking works the same way. Since we are always doing it, it is easy to forget that it is happening. To think is to create. Everything starts in the mind. What precedes the feeling of anger? Angry thoughts precede anger. Have you tried getting angry without having angry thoughts first? Try feeling sad without sad thoughts. It is impossible!</p>
<p>In order to experience a feeling, we must first have the thought that induces that feeling. Happiness cannot exist alone. To <a href="http://www.findthewaytohappiness.com" target='_blank' onclick="javascript:pageTracker._trackPageview ('/outbound/www.findthewaytohappiness.com');">find happiness</a>, It is the result of positive thinking. This simple awareness is the first step in putting us back on the path towards happiness.</p>
<p>We should never underestimate the power of a simple thought. It may seem so innocent and fleeting; yet, it has energy that can cause great impact on our mind, body, and emotions.</p>

<p>Notice that when we focus our minds on positive things, we feel better, whereas when our thoughts are focused on the negative, we feel bad. Positive thoughts yield positive results. These thoughts make us more loving and caring, resulting to good health, wealth, and happiness. On the other hand, negative thoughts produce negative results. These types of thoughts result to indifference, disease, fear and misery, etc. In other words, our thoughts create our reality.</p>

<p>I do not suppose you would because I know how frightening public speaking can be.  </p>
<p>I have been there on the sidelines waiting to go onto the stage, sweating, dry mouth and scared as hell!  </p>
<p>Then a few years back, I attended a course run by Dr Richard Bandler ( co-creator of Nuro-Linguestic Programming NLP as it is generally known ).  It absolutely was a self-discovery course with only a few of us attending so we got real hands-on attention from Richard.  Among the countless lessons from the course, I remember one of the representatives asserting to Richard I&#8217;m just not aconfident person.  Richard said in return Are you sure?  Did you know what the person said?  Of course I bloody well am.  They certainly didn&#8217;t lack confidence!  </p>
<p>Richard went on to explain that everyone is confident it is just they are assured about the incorrect things.  This delegate was super-confident about their idea that they have no confidence.  </p>
<p>How would you feel if you might turn yourself into the most confident person you might be, when you needed to?  </p>
<p>Imagine going onto stage to present feeling just as confident when you were promoted or simply finished a10 mile run or asked somebody out on a date and they exclaimed &#8216;yes&#8217;.  Well you can and all it takes is practice.  </p>
<p>This was an exercise from Dr Richard Bandler, which all super successful people use.  Know ituse itand you might be like them.  </p>
<p><strong>Try this 5-minute exercise: </strong></p>
<p>Imagine a time when you were super-confident </p>
<p>Remind yourself what happened </p>
<p>What were folks pronouncing to you?  </p>
<p>How did you feel?  </p>
<p>What did you see?  </p>
<p>Was there any actual sounds or smells?  </p>
<p>Are you painting the image of when you felt super-confident?  </p>
<p>Make the picture actually bright and enormous </p>
<p>How does one feel right now?  </p>
<p><strong>More assured then you probably did 5 minutes ago?  </strong></p>
<p>Mostdefinitely.  </p>
<p>By remembering past experiences and allowing the feelings to spread all over you, you are telling your brain that the experience is occurring right now in this moment.  </p>
<p><strong>This is an easy exercise to increase your self-esteem.  </strong></p>
<p>Try finishing the exercise every morning and evening and feel that confidence wash all over you.  Allow the exercise to changed into one of your new habits.  </p>
<p>Complete the exercise the next time you are on the point of going onto the stage and publicly speak and need a confidence boost.  </p>
